On June 24th, 2021, the h-ALO project participated in the Annual Congress of the Italian Society of Photobiology. Due to the coronavirus outbreak, the 32nd edition of conference was held virtual.
The Italian Society of Photobiology (SIFB) has been funded in 1974. The society is affiliated to the sister societies and organization in EU countries and in US. The annual congress aims at reporting the latest results on topics related to photobiology and the applications of optical sources in biodiagnostics; Dr. Stefano Toffanin, h-ALO Project Coordinator, participated at the event as invited speaker with a speech entitled “Organic optoelectronic components in highly integrated systems for plasmonics sensing in food security/quality (SIB)”. During his speech, he had the occasion to talk about the project and the main impacts the project will have on food safety.
